To change from POP to IMAP using OS X Mail, you will need to do the following:
1. Open the OS X Mail program.
2. Click Mail.
3. Click Preferences.
4. In the Accounts Box, highlight your account and click the Remove button.
5. Click OK.
6. Click the Add Account button.
- For Account Type, select IMAP.
- Description is just something to label the email account, i.e. My Email Account.
- Email Address is your email address.
- Full Name is your first and last name.
- Incoming Mail Server is imap.netins.net
- User Name is the first half of your email address.
- Password is your normal password.
- Outgoing Mail Server is smtp.netins.net
7. Click Options.
- In Server Port, enter 587.
- Select Password from the Authentication drop down list.
- User Name is your full email address.
- Password is your normal password.
8. Click the Red Circle to close the Accounts Box.
