The functions that programs like Callwave
can provide are very similar to what netINS can offer you
for free! If your computer has a modem that uses the v.92
protocol with Modem On Hold† as a supported feature
you can take advantage of these features today.
There is one major difference between Modem
On Hold† and Callwave. The difference is
that Callwave can record a voicemail for you that you
can listen to once you connect to the Internet. Both technologies
allow you to determine if you have an incoming call and discover
the identity of the caller if you have purchased Caller ID
service from your telephone company.
Modem On Hold† actually allows
you to put the Internet session "on hold" while
you take the incoming call. Callwave types of service
only allow you to know that a call is coming in and allows
you to listen to the message the caller leaves while you are
still online.
